T-6: THE HARVARD, TEXAN & WIRRAWAY - A Pictorial Record

H/B (1) 1995 (ISBN 1 85310 115 X) H/B (2) USA Edition (ISBN 0 7603 0191 3)

A lavish pictorial tribute to one of the most famous aircraft of all time. Introduced in the late 1930's as an advanced training aircraft, the T-6 in many guises (the Harvard, the SNJ, the Wirraway and more) trained more Allied aircrew than any other aircraft during World War II and was produced in huge numbers. Far from dying away at the end of the war, she went on to become one of the most universally utilised aircraft of the 1950's and even when her service career finally ended, almost a thousand are still flying or preserved today and are seen all over the world at air shows.

A superbly collection of both Colour and Black and White photographs shows every aspect of this well-loved aircraft down her whole incredible history.
