Awarding the book four stars, Ned Middleton wrote: "This author never disappoints," adding, "Whenever I get a book written by Peter C Smith, I know I am in for another treat." He also stated that this "carefully constructed work" was "an enticing read full of new information" and concluded that, "..this is serious reading...and written by one whose work you can trust."
